REPORT ON ITD IIUM GOMBAK MUHIBBAH VISIT TO ITD CFS GAMBANG,  IIUM KUANTAN, SASMEC & CSR 2020 AT SHAS MOSQUES, IIUM KUANTAN 

25th September 2020 was a sunny day and all the staff boarded the bus at 3.00pm to CFS Gambang for a night stay. After a good night’s rest, the team departed to Indoor Arena, IIUM Kuantan early in the morning. The day started with a hearty breakfast sponsored by an ITD SASMEC staff. As the other staff from other campuses arrived, ITD Gombak staff was able to greet their counterparts and mingle for a while. ITD IIUM Kuantan was unable to send a team to participate but some of the staff did come to join the fun.

After a brief warm up session, the futsal game between IT staff at IIUM Gombak, CFS Gambang, & SASMEC starts. Two referees appointed by ITD Gombak handled the games. It was a fully energetic game with all teams trying their best to win. Br. Nadzeri sustained an ankle injury and had to be benched and later sent to SASMEC as there was a slight possibility that he got a broken ankle. The fierce game lasted until noon.

In the end, ITD SASMEC was declared as the winner, followed by ITD CFS Gambang and finally, ITD Gombak managed to get third place. Top scorer award was given to Br. Hafizuddin and Br. Mustakim from SASMEC while the Most Valuable Player (MVP) was awarded to Br. Shahrin (ITD Gombak) and Br. Muzzafar(CFS Gambang). The last award which is the Golden Glove award was given to Br. Fahdlan from SASMEC.

It was a very meaningful defeat for the ITD Gombak team but all was well in the end as all the ITD staff was able to get to know each other and have kept a strong camaraderie spirit alive.

After the game ended, the ITD team went for a lunch break and immediately after lunch, all the ITD staff went to SHAS Mosque for the prayer. After the prayer, the SHAS representative, Ustazah Syarifah Hafilah met Br. Amin for the commencement of the ITD CSR 2020 which is helping to clean the surrounding of the SHAS Mosque. All ITD staff managed to clear out fallen dead leaves and help to keep the cleanliness level at the very best. After the CSR, the bus departed from SHAS Mosque for a brief stop at SASMEC and at around 5.00pm finally left Kuantan towards greater Gombak.

As a conclusion, the ‘Muhibbah visit’ in the form of futsal game between ITD staff from different campus & CSR sessions was very successful and insya-Allah if there is another opportunity arises, the similar program can be carried out again in the future. A thousand thanks to all ITD staff that have participated and to the ITD Management for their tremendous support.
