ITD CLUB CSR INITIATIVE - WAQAF & INFAQ FOR CFS MOSQUE
What started as an ITD Club donation drive in July has materialized to a complete Community Social Responsibility (CSR) for ITD.
With the aim to help CFS Mosque in mind, ITD initiated the CSR as a help to a community in need. On 14 September 2019, a team of ITD personnel departed from ITD IIUM Gombak to IIUM CFS Gambang with Al-Quran collected as waqaf and donations collected as infaq by ITD staff. The infaq collected is around RM930.00.
ITD Convoy arrived at CFS around 1.15pm. ITD has been greeted by Br Mohd Izzudin from ITD CFS Gambang at the mosque. After performing solat jamak, the convoy met with Ustazah Azlina, the CFS Mosque representative. Br. Mohd Farisalharisi as the ITD IIUM Gombak representative has given the waqaf and infaq collected to her in a simple ceremony. It is hoped that the waqaf and infaq given will be a boon to the CFS community.
After the ceremony, ITD convoy joined the CFS community in a Quran Hour session. Afterwards, the program continues with the ‘gotong-royong’ by the ITD convoy to clean up the mosque area especially at the ablution area and the P.A. System room where the ‘sejadahs’ are kept. The CSR was completed at around 4.00pm.
In the evening, the ITD convoy combined with Br. Mohd Izzuddin from ITD CFS Gambang moves to Pantai Sepat to set up camping tent and barbeque session. Later that night, staff from ITD IIUM Gombak,(Br. Syed Hazrul), ITD CFS Gambang(Br. Eshmir,Br. Naqiuddin,Br. Hafizal), ITD IIUM Kuantan(Br. Roszali) and IIUM Medical Center(Br. Mustakim,Br. Othman) joined the barbeque session to foster ‘ukhwah’ and camaraderie.
The next day, the convoy left Pantai Sepat to visit Br. Mustakim & Sr Umi Kalthom new baby born and departed to IIUM Gombak at noon.
As a conclusion, the CSR and the ‘ukhwah’ session was very successful and insya-Allah if there is another opportunity arises, the similar program can be carried out again in the future. ITD Club wishes to congratulate ITD Management for their support and to all ITD staff that have provided the waqaf and infaq. Without your contribution, this program will not be a success.
